Summary The Chief Enterprise Risk Officer (CERO) is responsible for overseeing the Internal Audit and Compliance departments, as well as the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program to include facilitating the ERM process to identify, assess, manage, monitor, and report on enterprise risks of Moffitt’s strategy to senior leadership and the board. In consultation with Moffitt leaders, the CERO will anticipate potential vulnerabilities and implement effective strategies to prevent or reduce the impact, while ensuring regulatory compliance across all functions. The CERO provides related advice and counsel to the Chief Executive Officer and other members of the executive leadership team to encourage a culture of risk awareness. Additionally, the CERO advises Moffitt senior leadership and Board of Directors on updates pertaining to internal controls and ERM policy. Minimum Requirements A minimum of ten years of enterprise risk management experience, which may include overseeing compliance or internal audit, within a large academic medical center, health system or similar health care organization, with at least eight years in a progressive leadership capacity. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, Risk Mgmt, Legal or related Field. Master's Degree and/or Juris Doctor from an American Bar Association Accredited Law School Preferred. ERM Certification - Certified Risk and Compliance Management Professional (CRCMP), COSO equivalent certification. Qualifications Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish trust and develop productive relationships with team members at all levels and collaborate effectively with senior management in strategic planning, decision making, and culture building. Strong persuasive abilities to influence others. Proven business analytical ability and organizational skills necessary to organize/assess information and evaluate recommendations based on data analysis. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to support interaction and participation in meetings with senior leadership and board members. Uses judgment and business acumen to resolve problems creatively and effectively, identifying underlying issues in complex situations, recognizing patterns and trends, developing comprehensive solutions to recurring issues, and applying relevant expertise and experience to diverse legal questions. Ability to anticipate and identify emerging issues and strategically weigh risks. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, research knowledge of and the ability to apply the principles and practices to strategically align tasks and people with organizational goals and objectives. #J-18808-Ljbffr Moffitt Cancer Center
