Reports to: Chief Credit Officer

Location/Branch: Rowland Heights, CA

Seniority Level: Entry or Mid-Senior Level

Employment Type: Full Time/Non-Exempt

Salary: $40,000.00 to 50,000.00 a year. Exact compensation may vary based on experience, skills, knowledge, and education.

Position Summary

The Credit Operations Assistant’s primary function and responsibility is to assist the manager in daily loan activities, included but not limited to credit operation related loan processing, monitoring, and servicing of the assigned portfolio.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

(Duties not limited to those provided here):

  • Assist the manager in daily loan activities, included but not limited to credit operation related loan processing, monitoring, and servicing of the assigned portfolio.
  • Independently process loan closing, funding, and post funding assignments.
  • Perform SBA reporting and its portfolio management and disbursement.
  • Perform End-of-Day balancing ensuring all activities are reconciled with the General Ledger.
  • Respond to internal customer inquiries.
  • Prepare reports for the internal department and management.
  • Follow up on any loan exceptions.
  • Responsible for adhering to and complying with all Bank policies and Federal and State banking laws and regulations.
  • Comply with and adhere to all applicable regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A college degree in accounting or business preferred.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Solid written and oral communication skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and other financial software/tools.
