Job Title: Direct Marketing Manager Department: Marketing Reports To: Director of Channel Marketing Position location: This is a limited hybrid role. To be considered, you must reside in Missouri (MO), Kansas (KS), or Oklahoma (OK), with a preference for candidates in the Kansas City area. Summary The Direct Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to acquire profitable customers. This includes managing platforms, overseeing vendors, and evaluating performance. The primary focus is to drive business revenue and meet overall growth objectives through effective direct marketing initiatives. This role has a direct impact on revenue and EBITDA, requiring deep expertise in all aspects of direct marketing acquisition. The Direct Marketing Manager collaborates closely with other channel managers to ensure a seamless customer journey from prospect generation to loan completion. Success in this role demands an analytical, systematic approach to problem-solving and the ability to thrive under performance-based evaluation. Responsibilities include the following: Weekly management of all channel related activity that drives to hitting the weekly funding goal. Daily communication regarding budgeted goals. Campaign management to set up a variety of direct marketing campaigns including, but not limited to mail, email, SMS, Ringless Voicemail, and push notifications. Manage projects in detail, meticulously, and in compliance with organizational goals. Manage and analyze customer acquisition marketing campaigns through the coordination of agencies and vendors. Provide regular, concise reporting and analysis to Management and Executive teams. CRM platform management. Regularly meet with outside marketing agencies to evaluate past campaign performance and plan future campaigns. Analyze web properties, transactional emails, customer service phone calls and other customer touch points with a focus on lead conversion. Create and execute website A/B and multivariate testing in association with other channel managers. Assure the quality of all delivered marketing collateral. Blend data-driven insights with creative and strategic thinking to plan, shape, and execute impactful marketing campaigns. Conduct in-depth evaluations of past campaign performance and collaboratively plan future initiatives. Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities. Provide clear creative direction and guidance to the Creative team, emphasizing a primary focus on campaign marketing strategy. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in copywriting, creative marketing, and design to bring fresh ideas and approaches to the team.   • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Economics, Finance, Advertising, Marketing Analytics, Data Science, Math, or a related field is required. Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or Data Science is a plus.
  • Experience analyzing data sets and turning them into insights.
  • Proven track record of creating and managing effective direct marketing campaigns.
  • Strong creative thinking, project management, and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of developing innovative marketing campaigns.
  • Experience with A/B testing and data-driven decision-making to optimize marketing campaigns.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communicator. Must be able to tailor communication style to meet various situations.
  • Experience with the full Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience creating an appropriate marketing mix for customer acquisition efforts.
  • Experience managing marketing automation and CRM platforms.
  • Experience in the Fintech industry is a plus.
Language Skills This role requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills. The Direct Marketing Manager will present data and analysis to senior executives on a weekly basis. This communication must be professional, accurate, and actionable. Reasoning Ability Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to excel both independently while also being able to collaborate with others around you.
