Drone Pilot / Operator – Pressure Washing Cleaning

About the Role

Marzucco’s Construction & Coatings is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Drone Pilot to perform drone-based cleaning operations across various locations. In this role, you will work closely with a visual observer and Operations Manager to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery while adhering to FAA regulations and company safety standards.

This position is flexible, making it an excellent fit for professionals passionate about drone technology and hands-on fieldwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Drone Operation: Pilot drones for commercial and residential cleaning services, ensuring precision, efficiency, and strict adherence to safety protocols. (Cleaning includes pressure washing windows, roofs, and sides of residential and low, mid, and high-rise commercial buildings).

• Regulatory Compliance: Operate in full compliance with FAA Part 107 regulations and internal safety guidelines.

• Team Coordination: Work alongside visual observer and Operations Manager to execute cleaning tasks effectively.

• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine drone maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure optimal drone performance.

• Site Assessments: Evaluate job sites for flight feasibility, safety risks, and operational efficiency.

• Client Interaction: Maintain professional communication with clients to ensure their service expectations are met.

• Performance Optimization: Continuously assess flight operations and propose improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.

• This role may involve assisting with sales-related tasks, both in the office and in the field, to promote and sell our drone cleaning services. However, as the primary drone pilot, once work is secured, you will be on-site at all times whenever a job is in progress.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.

• Ability to operate job-related equipment, including safely backing up a trailer with a truck and performing routine maintenance checks on drones and other tools.

• Experience in setting up and managing water supply systems for drone pressure washing, including connecting hoses, water lines, and pumps to ensure optimal flow and pressure.

• Skilled in troubleshooting equipment issues, maintaining water filtration systems, and ensuring seamless drone operation through proper hose and supply line management.

• Minimum 1 years of experience operating drones, preferably in commercial, residential, or industrial applications.

• Strong understanding of FAA regulations and a commitment to safety best practices.

• Ability to assess job sites, identify potential hazards, and implement risk mitigation strategies.

• Ability to handle standing and being outside for long durations.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in dynamic environments.

• Valid driver’s license with the flexibility to travel between job sites as needed.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Job Details

• Note: This position will have working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. In the initial phase, sales will be a key responsibility, both in-office and out-of-office, as we focus on acquiring projects for our drone operations. Once we begin securing consistent work, this role will transition to full-time drone operation, aligning with our growing business needs. As a new and expanding company, we’re seeking a dedicated drone pilot to become a vital member of our team and a long-term asset to our success.
• Pay: $25-30/hr

• Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift

  • 8am-5pm 

• Work Location: In-person (travel to office or job sites required)
