Job Description

Position Overview:

Dashing Diva is seeking a strong Graphic Design Intern for the summer to join our creative team. This internship offers hands-on experience in packaging design, visual display, and working experience with global retailers. The ideal candidate is a passionate designer eager to develop real-world skills and deliver creative solution across packaging, digital and retail experiences.

Internship Duration:

Start Date: June 16, 2025

End Date: August 15, 2025

Schedule: Monday ~ Thursday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (EST)

Friday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM (EST)

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

As a Graphic Design Intern, you will be involved in a wide range of exciting projects that allow you to showcase your creativity and grow your design skills. You will be supporting the creative team and assisting in the development of various design projects that contribute to retail presentations, packaging, digital campaigns, and more. Your key responsibilities will include:

1) Packaging / Visual Design:

  • Conduct research on trends in packaging, materials and design innovations
  • Assist in developing concepts for seasonal campaigns
  • Assist in developing packaging and releasing the final packaging artwork to vendors
  • Creating comps for retail presentations
  • Create FPO (for placement only) for packaging / visual displays
  • Organize and maintain internal asset libraries to the latest file for efficient team collaboration

2) Digital:

  • Design and create daily marketing emails for ecomm campaigns
  • Assist in website content updates, including banners and promotional graphics
  • Assist in creating digital ads

3) Cross Functional Team Support:

  • Assist and collaborate with designers across packaging, digital and other visual projects

Mentorship & Learning Opportunities:

As an intern, you will receive hands-on experience in visual design, branding, and project management. You’ll learn how design decisions impact both production efficiency and the final consumer experience. Through your work on various projects, you’ll gain insights into the full creative process—from initial concept development to final execution.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication or related design field
  • No years of experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Rhino, Blender or another 3D program is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure
  • Ability to create and present ideas, reports, and budgets in various formats.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to accomplish tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Requires flexibility to varied work schedules based on business needs to accommodate all shifts.
