Group Leader of RNA Targeting Small Molecule Discovery - Permanent - San Francisco, California

Proclinical is seeking a Group Leader of RNA Targeting Small Molecule Discovery to spearhead innovative strategies in RNA-targeting drug development.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will focus on leveraging cutting-edge AI and structural biology to address challenging diseases. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to drive the integration of advanced technologies into our RNA-targeting programs

Skills & Requirements:

• Expertise in RNA biology and biochemistry.
• Strong knowledge of RNA targets in drug discovery and RNA-protein interactions.
• Proven ability to lead and execute scientific research.
• Hands-on experience with RNA technologies, including target selection and screening methods.
• Capability to manage complex projects and deliver results.
• Experience in a collaborative environment integrating technology with RNA biology.
• Proficiency in managing third-party collaborations and budgets.
• Experience in mentoring and developing team members.

The Group Leader of RNA Targeting Small Molecule Discovery responsibilities will be:

• Lead the development of novel RNA-targeting drug strategies.
• Define and implement RNA targeting strategies in collaboration with leadership.
• Collaborate with data and machine learning teams to enhance RNA-structure platforms.
• Identify and prioritize RNA targets for small molecule drug discovery.
• Establish and manage internal technologies and workflows.
• Build and manage a productive team, fostering talent both internally and externally.
• Provide scientific leadership and oversee lab activities, including training and mentoring.
• Collaborate with external partners and manage program initiatives.
• Regularly update leadership on project progress to facilitate decision-making.

Compensation:

• $220 000.00 - $240 000.00 Per Annum
