Legal Recruiting Assistant in our
Chicago office! This position is hybrid and has work from home flexibility.

This role is perfect for the administrative assistant who excels in being the glue that helps hold the department together and working in a fast-paced environment to help get matters across the finish line. The Legal Recruiting Assistant is responsible for assisting with the administrative functions of the Legal Recruiting team, including but not limited to expense reports, resume collection and management, interview scheduling, special event planning, and candidate searches.
Essential Functions: - Provides administrative support including correspondence, report generation, memoranda and/or other documents, revising, proofreading, assembling, and distributing prepared materials as necessary.
- Assists in the coordination of interview scheduling, including sending calendar appointments, reserving conference rooms, making travel arrangements, distributing materials, and collecting evaluations.
- Tracks and responds to all lateral resumes received as instructed by the Director.
- Assists with implementation/process of ViRecruit including inputting candidates, maintaining status codes, creating and maintaining requisition codes, search firms, and running reports.
- Coordinates appointments for recurring monthly meetings, committee and ad hoc meetings.
- Communicates properly and promptly with Benesch personnel and external contacts at all times and must exhibit a high level of customer service at all times.
- Maintains Legal Recruiting files including intake forms, candidate checklists, search firm agreements, preferred vendor lists, etc.
- Assists with the transition of new hires from Legal Recruiting to Onboarding and Integration.
- Works closely with the Legal Recruiting Coordinator to support the administrative functions of the department relating to a "first in class" recruiting function.
- Answers phones and directs calls as needed.
- Processes expense reimbursements for candidates.
- Tracks and processes search firm agreement invoices.
Additional Responsibilities: - Assists with special projects as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: The Legal Recruiting Assistant must have a High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred. At least two to three years of experience in a professional service environment is preferred. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. Must be highly organized and have the ability to independently multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Must possess an excellent client-service approach to interactions with team members, vendors and candidates, as well as outstanding professionalism and communication skills to manage a variety of daily tasks and provide optimal client service. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, attention to detail, be process driven and pro-active in their approach to information gathering.
The salary range for this position is $50K to $60K.

Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that Benesch provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full-time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
