What you'll do...

The WMSC Logistics team is a Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) entity established to bolster the growth of Walmart Marketplace and e-commerce. As we expand our service offerings, we now provide international transportation solutions to third-party sellers on Marketplace from origins in China, India, and Vietnam, via ocean and air. To support international operations in real-time, we are seeking dedicated individuals for 2nd shift in Bentonville, AR.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Supply Chain Processes: Ensure merchandise flows smoothly through the distribution network and fulfillment centers. Direct resolution and respond to escalations of daily issues.

  • Analyze Data: Streamline and improve network efficiencies by analyzing data from multiple stakeholders.

  • Supplier Compliance: Provide data for supplier compliance processes and analyze root causes of shipping, receiving, inventory, and return-related issues.

  • Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews of merchandising departments, distribution centers, and suppliers, providing recommendations for corrective action.

Supply Chain Optimization

  • Streamline Operations: Oversee the end-to-end flow of goods from customer to final delivery, ensuring alignment with operational timelines, compliance standards, and customer requirements.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, carriers, and stakeholders to achieve goals related to on-time delivery, cost efficiency, service quality, and compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.

  • Track Movement: Monitor the movement and arrival of goods across the supply chain.

  • Conflict Resolution: Develop and present recommendations to address conflicting goals and identify order exceptions and supply chain constraints.

Operational Leadership and Guidance

  • Communication Hub: Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring clear communication of operational expectations to suppliers, transporters, and internal teams.

  • Performance Management: Monitor and address performance-related issues with carriers, agents, and other stakeholders, providing actionable feedback and implementing best practices to ensure operational excellence.

  • Process and Resource Development: Partner with business units to identify gaps and develop tools, processes, and resources that enhance efficiency and streamline logistics operations.

Process Improvement

  • Flow Process Improvement: Design, develop, and deliver new ways of working between supply chain stakeholders.

  • Continuous Improvement: Present new ways of working and continuous improvement recommendations to leadership.

  • Innovation: Champion innovation to simplify current solutions and methodologies.

  • Cost Reduction: Provide cost recommendations to reduce process waste and identify opportunities for cost reductions and process efficiencies.

Relationship and Assignment Management

  • Stakeholder Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to support customer and business needs.

  • Goal Setting: Identify and communicate goals and objectives, measure progress, and address improvement opportunities.

  • Adaptability and Learning: Demonstrate adaptability and promote continuous learning.

Supervision and Development

  • Associate Development: Hire, train, mentor, and assign duties to associates. Provide recognition and ensure diversity awareness.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the company's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: Candidates should have experience in international freight forwarding, ocean transportation, NVOCC activity, and air freight.

  • Skillset: Strong analytical skills, ability to manage multiple stakeholders, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a focus on continuous improvement.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00
