Bringing new treatments to market will help improve patients' treatment options and lives. We are seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison to support the western sales territories of the US.

Summary:

• Develop and execute strategic plans within their region to meet company-defined goals within corporate and regulatory guidelines.
• Identify KOLs and build fostering mutually productive relationships partnerships in the areas of medical education and clinical/scientific research. Build, update, and maintain KOL database.
• Help shape a new treatment paradigm through scientific exchange with KOLs.
• Respond to unsolicited scientific and medical information requests.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain clinical and technical expertise in specific therapeutic areas
• Deliver high quality scientific presentations on science and data to physicians and other key external customers.
• Collaborate cross funtionally to develop and present relevant clinical data to varied audiences, including medical professionals, payers, patients, and representatives of patient organizations.
• Identify and recommend speakers and support advisory board meetings and speaker training initiatives.
• Maintain cross-functional collaboration with internal teams: Business Planning/Strategy, Customer Experience, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, etc.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of medical education strategies and initiatives, publication planning, development of medical education material, internal training, etc.
• Perform and complete administrative responsibilities and internal projects timely, activity reports, KOL contact documentation, expense reports, etc.
• Provide specific and time sensitive feedback to core team on program successes, challenges and opportunities.

• 5+ years of scientific and medical expertise
• Over 3 years of field medical experience
• Thorough understanding of clinical development, clinical trial design and biostatistics and implications of applicable laws and regulations governing clinical research including ICH/GCP, IND/IDE, FDA, OIG and HIPAA
• Required to attend trade shows/scientific sessions
• Ability to travel for work-relatd meetings and functions, including overnight and/or weekends.
