Job Description:
As a QA Tester, you will be a key contributor to the testing and release processes, working to ensure the quality and functionality of applications and systems. You will plan, construct, and execute various test types, including product, system, load, and network tests, while collaborating with team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

• Review and understand the Test Team work plan and processes.
• Develop and execute test plans, including defining acceptance criteria and testing standards.
• Assist in managing and directing Test Team processes and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Identify, track, and resolve issues, risks, and action items affecting the testing process.
• Plan and execute component and assembly tests in collaboration with Application Teams.
• Create, update, and maintain test models, environments, data, and scripts.
• Conduct structured walk-throughs, inspections, and product test executions.
• Support release control processes and update release installation procedures.
• Provide guidance to Test Team members to enhance their testing skills and build technical proficiency.
• Communicate status updates, ensuring timely reporting of progress and issues.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• Proven experience in testing processes, including test planning, execution, and issue resolution.
• Strong understanding of system business requirements and ability to align testing processes with them.
• Expertise in creating and maintaining testing standards, procedures, and models.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken, for collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively, meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
• Experience with structured walk-throughs, inspections, and release control processes.
• Familiarity with risk management and contingency planning in the testing process.
• Ability to work independently and in team environments, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $23.00 to $35.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
