RN Asst Mgr-Nursing Emergency at Ascension summary:

The RN Assistant Manager in Nursing Emergency provides direct patient care in the emergency department, ensuring adherence to established healthcare protocols. Responsibilities include triaging patients, implementing care plans, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with healthcare teams. This full-time role requires a Registered Nurse license and offers opportunities for healthcare professionals to make a positive impact in their communities.

• Department:  Emergency 
• Schedule:  Full Time Nights - 36 hours per week. Three 12 hour shifts per week from 7:00PM to 7:30AM. This will include rotating every other weekend and holiday. 
• Hospital:  Ascension St. Francis Hospital 
• Location:  Milwaukee, WI

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients in the emergency services area in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity level and available resources.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as
  appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with other disciplines to provide well-coordinated patient care. 
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job
  transfer date required.

Education:

• Graduate of a board-approved Registered Nurse Program required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Work Experience:

• Ability to manage complex workload required.

Additional Preferences

• Candidates with prior EMS or ED experience preferred
