Position Summary: The Site Design Specialist works with Construction to design the layouts of future projects and assists with process coordination and optimization in whatever capacity is necessary. This role also acts as an intermediary between Business Development and Construction, ensuring that sold sites are constructable and constructable sites are sold. The position requires a deep understanding of power distribution, system integration, and regulatory compliance to ensure high-performing and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop EV charging station layouts, electrical infrastructure, and power distribution systems.
  • Oversee creation and iterative review of detailed technical drawings and specifications through close collaboration with third-party drafting and engineering contractors to ensure construction accuracy, electrical functionality, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Facilitate and maintain interdepartmental communication between sales team, project management, and construction to guarantee project goal alignment and feasibility, develop greater mutual understanding of client requirements, present design concepts, and incorporate feedback.
  • Refine design process flow to centralize efficiency and ease of understanding, establish company best practice, and drive innovation with the inclusion of new technologies.
  • Draft system layouts and coordinate with third-party contractors to construct comprehensive state-wide and growing national DCFC network (>130 sites installed) within NEVI eligibility timeline
  • Verify and implement installation requirements in accordance with guidelines from local utilities, permit and license authorities, and National Electric Code
  • Develop PV solar arrays from concept to final construction while communicating closely with installers and authorities having jurisdiction for residential, commercial, and tribal projects

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in system design or infrastructure development.
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution, energy storage, and renewable energy integration.
  • Proficiency in software's such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, and Sitetracker (Salesforce preferred)
  • Experience with load analysis, site planning, and permitting processes.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for sustainability and the advancement of clean energy solutions.
