Job Description

This role is charged with executing the Division of Philanthropy’s 300+ person team talent strategy for approximately 20-30 entry-level searches annually. Responsible for identifying and acquiring exceptional and diverse talent (background, experiences, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, and more), removing bias from recruiting processes, and other personnel-related initiatives. This role will also support the hiring of contract, per diem, and temporary hires across Division teams. Reporting to the Senior Associate Director, Administration within the Division of Philanthropy, this role partners daily with hiring managers across the Division, Human Resources partners, and candidates.

The onboarding of this role will include a comprehensive training process which includes completion of online modules, shadowing colleagues, as well as hands-on learning experiences throughout the first calendar year in the role.

This position is considered remote, 0-1 days onsite at 10 Brookline Place, Brookline, MA each week. DFCI guidelines state that employees must reside in New England: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont.

  • Execute recruitment strategy and talent acquisition tasks for the Division of Philanthropy, assuming the responsibility for pipeline building, applicant screening, and conducting/scheduling interviews for entry-level positions;
  • Develop talent pipelines through strategic sourcing efforts including but not limited to: LinkedIn, networking, and program/community partnerships;
  • Serve as a liaison and partner to DFCI Talent Acquisition;
  • In partnership with teams, oversee hiring of contract, per diem, and temporary staff;
  • Maintain Philanthropy report accuracy and focus on data sharing and transparency;
  • Assist with coordination and hosting of bi-monthly Philanthropy Information Sessions for individuals and candidates interested in learning more about the field of Philanthropy and the Division-at-large;
  • Uphold the highest level of confidentiality across all responsibilities.

High school diploma or equivalency required. Associates/Bachelors degree preferred. 2+ years relevant work experience in a talent management or recruiting role. Experience in a non-profit setting a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Encouraged

  • Experience executing recruiting strategy and growing candidate pipelines;
  • Excellent written and effective verbal communications skills in-person and via technology platforms (e,g.; Zoom or Microsoft Teams).
  • Public speaking experience and interest a must;
  • Handle all situations and documentation in a highly confidential manner;
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives and work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders;
  • Experience with data management and identifying trends to support decision-making. Demonstrates an end-user support orientation;
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite products.
