Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Theater Design Draftsperson to join our team in supporting the development and execution of high-end residential theater projects. In this role, you will work closely with our Lead Theater Designers, translating their vision into precise technical drawings and construction documents. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring our luxury theater solutions are implemented flawlessly, contributing to the success of our prestigious residential installations. CinemaTech is looking for a part-time Independent Contractor working 25-30 hours per week paid hourly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting Detailed Theater Plans: Create accurate and comprehensive theater design drawing package, including plans, schematic development, design documentation, and construction details using AutoCAD and other relative software.
• Design Collaboration: Work closely with our theater designers to translate conceptual designs into technical documentation that will be utilized by architects, contractors, and other project team members.
• Technical Drawings & Construction Documentation: Produce detailed construction documents, including layouts, acoustic isolation plans, and specialized theater details, ensuring alignment with project specifications and industry standards.
• Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Assist the lead design team in coordinating theater layouts with audio/video equipment, interior design elements, acoustics, and isolation requirements to ensure cohesive and fully integrated solutions.
• Project Support: Contribute to the review and refinement of design plans throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ongoing Learning: Stay current with drafting best practices, theater design innovations, and emerging technologies to continually improve output quality and efficiency

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate degree in Drafting, CAD Technology, Interior Design, or a related field; a Bachelor's degree is a plus.
• Experience: Proven experience in drafting for theater, interior, or architectural design—experience in the luxury residential sector is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software; familiarity with theater design principles and construction standards. Knowledge of 3ds Max and Photoshop is a plus.
• Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail in drafting and documentation.
• Communication: Strong ability to clearly convey technical details and collaborate with internal teams.
• Team Player: Ability to work independently or collaboratively while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
