For over a hundred years, New Mexico Baptist Children’s Home has brought hope to thousands of hurting children and families. Houseparents are on the frontlines of this mission field as they minister and care for the children entrusted to them.
NMBCH is currently seeking highly committed married couples to serve in the role of Houseparents for its campus located in Portales, NM and soon-to-open campus in Estancia, NM. Houseparents must have a strong calling on their lives to work with children who have endured trauma. They must be willing to embrace the challenges and opportunities in ministering to children from hard places. They should enjoy an active and energetic lifestyle.
Potential candidates must be committed Christians and are expected to be actively involved in a Southern Baptist Church. Houseparents may have up to 2 dependent children over the age of ten and 1 well behaved pet. Educational requirement is a HS diploma.
Houseparents live in a large home provided on the NMBCH campus and parent up to 9 resident children. Houseparents work an appealing 16 days on and 8 days off schedule.
