The Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa is seeking a Nurse Practitioners or PA-C to work part-time in our Walk In Care clinic. This is an opportunity to join a team of experienced physicians and staff dedicated to providing high quality care to our patients.

The Nurse Practitioner or PA-C will triage, treat and assess patient care needs by performing the following duties:

Obtain and record assessment of each patient including but not limited to the patient’s chief complaint, a review of systems, the patient’s past medical history and the patient’s family history.
Treat or make recommendations for follow up care by one of the PCI specialists if applicable.
Performing and documenting a clinically appropriate physical examination of each patient.
Performing and ordering clinically appropriate procedures for each patient and documenting same;
Analyzing reports and findings of tests and clinical examinations in order to assess the medical condition of each patient, including formulating a diagnosis of the injury or illness and documenting same in conformity with applicable professional standards, third party payor requirements and PCI policies and procedures.
Completing medical record documentation and billing entries in a timely and appropriate fashion

Must be able to provide the highest level of service to patients, physicians, and all practice personnel. Applicants should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate professionalism in image and demeanor. Computer literacy, technical and clinical competency, and attention to detail are required.
